Schokland Fund

These funds come from the SCHOKLAND-SME CA & DR Fund via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of the Netherlands. The Fund is executed by the Oikocredit - ICCO - CEGESTI alliance in line with the Millennium Objectives: Goals 1, 7, and 8 to eradicate poverty (pledge signed by the wealthy and poor countries in 2000). In this case and with an allusion to Goal 7: Ensure environmental sustainability: Promoting alliances for development among organizations and domestic and international stakeholders. The Schokland Fund provides credit and technical assistance to SMEs, associations and cooperatives in Central America and the Dominican Republic to foster environmentally and socially responsible business opportunities through an improvement in their business practices and the promotion of competitiveness with a high impact on improving society and the environment.
